Laura "SOUL" Poláčková

About

I’m Laura “SOUL” Poláčková — a composer who seeks the point where emotion meets sound.
My work moves between genres: film, orchestral, choral, electronic, and experimental. I love exploring contrasts — intimacy and vastness, structure and freedom, silence and resonance.

Whether I compose for a film, a stage, or my own reflection, I aim to create music that breathes — honest, vivid, and deeply human.

Music / Portfolio

Every project begins with a story.
I compose across genres — from orchestral and choral works to electronic and ambient soundscapes. Here you can listen to selected pieces from film scores, collaborations, and personal projects.

Possible subcategories:

  • Film & Visual Media

  • Choral & Vocal Music

  • Experimental / Electronic

Collaboration

I’m open to collaborations for film, theatre, visual art, and personal projects.
I believe music grows from connection — from listening deeply to what a story, an image, or a person needs to express.

If you’re looking for music that carries emotion, space, and soul — I’d love to hear from you.

Education

From an early age, I was drawn to music and art — they felt like a natural language to me. This passion led me to study at the Conservatory, where I began to understand music not just as notes on a page, but as emotion, color, and movement. Those years shaped my foundation as a composer, teaching me harmony, counterpoint, and the art of listening deeply.

Later, I continued my studies in Music Composition at university, where I explored orchestral, choral, electronic, and film music. There, I refined my craft — learning to merge classical precision with contemporary sound worlds. These experiences continue to inspire how I create and how I connect with stories through music.
